We’re looking to recruit an Information Systems Officer, joining the Business Services Directorate to play an active role in assisting with the cross organisational digital transformation project, the delivery of the organisation’s cyber security activities and working with both IT and systems end-users to help drive continual improvements

Job purpose
You will assist on the cross organisational digital transformation project and ensure effective document governance as well as the development of new and existing procedures and policies. The role is also responsible for ensuring appropriate access to data across UKAD systems is in line with the risk principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
You will assist in the delivery of the organisation’s cyber security activities and deliver cyber security training and awareness to all levels of the organisation.
Key result areas include
- Ensure that adequate end user documentation exists for IT systems and assist with preparation where necessary, acting as the main point of contact for issues or changes to relevant systems for staff
- To assist in scoping and co-ordinating requirements for the implementation of innovative systems and process-based solutions ensuring that these are utilised to maximise business efficiency
- Act as secretariat for the IT Governance group which ensures technical solutions to accommodate security and interconnectivity considerations.
- To be responsible for coordinating and generating business performance reports
- To act as system administrator for relevant core business systems, including ADAMS and Insight (excluding Case Management and Finance systems), and to take a lead role in liaising with system developers
- To assist UKAD in enhancing and developing best practice Information Management and Governance processes to maintain ISO27001 and GDPR compliance
- To assist in ensuring data management practices are effectively communicated internally and comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- To assist on training and educating staff regarding cyber security, other relevant legislation and in the use of internal systems including SharePoint, ADAMS Insight and other databases
- To provide support and assistance in Information Assurance so that UK Anti-Doping is compliant with Data Protection Act, PECR, GDPR, ISO27001, GovS007, GovAssure and Cyber Essentials
Person specification
Qualifications/experience/knowledge
- Have experience or aptitude in using and understanding database and IT systems to maximise business efficiency, in particular SharePoint and FileMaker Pro
- Proven ability of understanding systems and translating data specific requirements into practical solutions
- Experience of having interpreted and reported on a range of policy and management information to meet the needs of a variety of audiences
- A knowledge of Information Security Standard ISO27001 would be desirable
- Understanding of working within a quality management system an advantage
- Project management experience desirable
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- An industry or profession qualification such CISM, CISSP, CISA would be advantageous
Skills
- Articulate communicator with good written, verbal, presentation and education skills
- Proven ability to work methodically, balancing diverse work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Demonstrable ability to use own initiative
