We’re looking to recruit a Major Events & Core Projects Manager to lead, manage and support the securing and delivery of UK Anti-Doping’s (UKAD) contracted anti-doping services at Major and International Events.

Job purpose
To lead, manage and support the securing and delivery of UK Anti-Doping’s (UKAD) contracted anti-doping services at Major and International Events. Responsible for project managing and supporting the delivery of core organisational wide operational projects.

UKAD has delivered anti-doping services at 39 Major and International Events, including multi-sport Major Events, since 2022.
Key result areas
Major and International Events
- Leading on the development, delivery and monitoring of UKAD’s Major and International Event contracted services, including the provision of testing and education services.
- Responsible for the development, production and submission of tender applications for the provision of testing and education at Major and International Events.
- Key first point of contact for international contracted services and activities, including Major Event Organisers.
- Maintain processes and policies that support the planning and delivery of contracted services at Major and International Events.
- Development and maintenance of UKAD’s pricing strategy, including testing, education, and all areas of UKAD’s anti-doping operations for Major and International events.
- Conduct due diligence and research when working with new partners to appreciate any political, sport, or government sensitives that may need to be considered when designing the services to be contracted.
Management of Core Projects
- Effective project management of organisation-wide projects, as directed, that are core to UKAD’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
- Working closely across relevant UKAD operational teams, to support the delivery of organisation-wide projects.
- Development and maintenance of effective project management tools, mechanisms and templates.
Qualifications/experience/knowledge
- Desirably experience working in sport or sports education
- Experience of successfully managing large scale projects
- Experience of budget and supplier management
- Experience of the development of tender submissions for the provision of goods and services
- Demonstrable experience of relationship management to effect change, and enhance programmes
- Desirably experience or understanding of anti-doping rules and policies
